A New Look for Holiday Ice!

The City of Anderson came to Locke Design Omnimedia to breathe new life into the Downtown Economic Development Program, Holiday Ice. Holiday Ice offers the community an ice rink in the heart of downtown at Carolina Wren Park during the Holiday Season. This brings shoppers and diners to downtown.
Locke Design was tasked with creating a new brand for the municipal event including new branding, logo, color and font system. We also completed all media buying including print ads in local magazines and papers, billboards and a digital social media campaign.
The logo design for Holiday Ice presents a 1960's feel to create the feeling of whimsical modernity and fun for the event. The font used, Misfit Toys, was used in the 1960's animated film Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. The custom logo icon crated for Holiday Ice is a whimsical skate. An unexpected color scheme of red and green paired with pastels creates energy and fun for the new corporate identity.
