Locke Design is joining the Collaborative Work Space Movement!
2006 North Main Street, a Pre-War historical building in Mid-Town Anderson, has been home to Locke Design Omnimedia studio since 2011. Remodeled and restored but left with the unique characteristics of the original house, Locke Design has four design studios, a conference room, a reception area, a kitchen, bathrooms, and a photography studio.

Our upstairs photography studio focuses on creating professional images for our clients, but the space has also been used for classes, art exhibits, and more. The studio has two private rooms, a bathroom, and a studio common area. However, most of our business operates on the lower floor, leaving the upstairs space largely untouched.
So, we were thinking… how could we transform this space into something beneficial? Collaborative space. It’s perfect! Even though we occasionally still need to use part of the common area for our photography, we will convert this space and the other two rooms (now being used as a dressing room and a storage room) into offices. Renters will have access to the conference room, wifi, cleaning services, parking lot, library, sunroom and well equipped kitchen.
Collaborative spaces are becoming widely popular, especially within city limits. Businesses will rent out a section of their building to community members who need a conference room, a small office, or just a temporary space to be productive.
We are joining this movement by bringing this trend to Anderson. Starting with two of our upstairs rooms, we will soon open a collaborative space available to rent. We want to hear your ideas, so connect with us on social media or comment on this blog to let us know what you think!
